Strategic Inventory Planner – Retail Merchandising

Job summary

Spendless Shoes is seeking an Inventory Analyst to support profitability and inventory control across our Gillman network and online channel. You will build merchandise plans aligned to demand and commercial priorities, working with Buying, Planning, Retail, Finance, and eCommerce teams.

You will translate data into actionable trading recommendations, monitor stock levels and performance, and help optimise stock turns and margins in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in merchandise planning, demand planning or inventory planning.
• Experience developing merchandise financial plans and open-to-buy budgets.
• Strong knowledge of assortment planning, forecasting and replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain seasonal, annual and rolling merchandise financial plans.
• Plan and forecast sales, inventory, gross margin and stock turn.
• Manage open-to-buy within budgets and merchandise strategies.
• Collaborate with Buyers on range architecture, assortment plans and pricing.
• Analyse daily and weekly trade performance across products, stores and online.
• Identify risks/opportunities and recommend actions like promotions or markdowns.
• Develop allocation and replenishment strategies based on demand and channel priorities.
• Monitor stock availability, aged inventory and weeks of cover.
• Prepare planning, trade and inventory reports and post-analysis.
