Mars Recruitment is partnering with an ASX-listed mining producer to appoint a Principal FP&A professional. You will maintain and evolve financial models behind critical business decisions, delivering data-driven insights that guide senior leadership.

The role requires a strong emphasis on effective prioritisation, clear communication, and rapid adaptation in a fast-paced environment. You will own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning cycles, translate model outputs into actionable

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/CFA qualification and a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline.
• Extensive FP&A experience including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.
• Advanced financial modelling skills with a track record of building and maintaining complex models.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate scenarios, plans, and decisions, articulating the risk-reward proposition.
• Deliver ad-hoc and sensitivity analysis to support annual plans, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Continuously improve models in line with best practice.
• Develop understanding of key value drivers across the value chain.
• Apply industry trends and market dynamics to inform analysis.
• Prepare Board materials that communicate complex analysis with clarity and impact.
• Present findings to engage and influence senior leadership.
