Job summary

The Premier's Department NSW is seeking an experienced finance leader to join the Finance & Operations Branch as Associate Director, Finance Business Partnering. You will provide strategic financial advice and business partnering support to Aboriginal Affairs NSW to help leaders manage budgets, resources and priorities.

You will lead budget development, forecasting and financial performance activities, translate complex financial information into practical advice, and support business cases

Qualifications

• Strategic partnership with senior executives to provide trusted financial advice.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Strong communication to non-financial audiences and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with SAP, Excel, Power BI in a large public sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead budget development, forecasting and financial performance activities.
• Provide timely financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
• Lead a small team and partner with Finance, ICT and other functions.
• Ensure robust financial controls and NSW Government compliance.
