Job summary

Forensicare (Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health) is Victoria’s specialist provider of forensic mental health services. The Director, Statewide Forensic Programs leads delivery of safe and consumer-focused programs across Victoria, fostering integration with the broader system and driving innovation with a cohesive, evidence-led approach.

Qualifications

• An appropriate tertiary qualification with clinical discipline registration relevant to forensic mental health.
• Leadership experience in community mental health or similar complex service delivery environments.
• Ability to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive care.
• Strong analytical skills to inform service improvement and innovation.
• Experience influencing executives and external partners to achieve strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight and leadership for safe, effective Statewide Programs with compliance to standards.
• Champion integration within Forensicare and among external stakeholders to break silos.
• Lead high performing multidisciplinary teams and foster accountability and respect.
• Ensure improvement guided by evidence and lived experience for community living outcomes.
• Embed cultural safety and self-determination across Community Forensic Mental Health Services.
• Drive evidence-based innovation in line with Royal Commission and strategic objectives.
• Demonstrate strategic foresight to anticipate challenges and inform decisions.
