Job summary

Downer is seeking a seasoned Cost Control leader for its Energy & Utilities portfolio in Australia. You will drive cost control delivery, oversee budgets and forecasts, and provide clear reporting to enable informed decision making across project and portfolio teams.

You will lead, coach and develop Cost Control resources, ensuring adherence to standards and governance while collaborating with PM, finance, planning, procurement and engineering to strengthen Cost Control practices.

Qualifications

• This role requires a tertiary qualification and extensive cost control experience.
• Strong finance background in control, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience in leading Cost Control teams and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cost Control delivery and resource allocation across the portfolio.
• Oversee budgets, actual costs, commitments, accruals and forecasts.
• Provide concise, evidence-based project and portfolio reporting.
• Coach and develop cost control resources and ensure governance and standards.
