Job summary

Australian Submarine Agency invites applications for an APS 6 Project and Program Cost Analyst in Canberra. The role supports the NPS program through expert cost estimation services and timely costing information to guide acquisition, sustainment and disposal decisions.

The incumbent will work within the ASA Finance Branch, collaborating with delivery, policy, commercial and portfolio teams to deliver accurate financial insights and recommendations for strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to understand and apply cost estimation methods across major acquisition and sustainment activities.
Ability to develop collaborative partnerships and provide strategic cost and financial advice.
Experience in presenting compelling, clear financial information to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

Undertake project cost estimation and cost assurance activities with delivery, policy, commercial and portfolio management functions.
Prepare briefs and written advice identifying costing issues and investment proposals.
Support ASA decision-making by providing accurate cost information and analysis.
Contribute to continuous improvement of costing practices and tools.
