Bloom HR in Sydney is seeking an experienced Communications Director to lead a portfolio of high-profile clients across technology, consumer, corporate, property and financial services.

This role asks for more than campaign delivery; you will challenge thinking, connect culture, business and communications, and uncover opportunities others miss. You will mentor and lead multiple teams, including direct reports and juniors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in PR, communications, corporate affairs or integrated agency environments.
• Strong track record managing senior client relationships.
• Experience advising C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial understanding including account growth, profitability and client retention.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience managing complex communications challenges and sensitive issues.
• The confidence to lead difficult conversations and provide trusted strategic advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated communications strategies across a portfolio of high-profile clients.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and C-suite stakeholders.
• Provide strategic counsel on reputation, media, issues management and communications challenges.
• Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities that impact client objectives.
• Drive client satisfaction, retention and organic account growth.
• Manage account profitability, resourcing and commercial performance.
• Lead, coach and develop communications professionals across multiple client teams.
• Support the career development of direct reports while mentoring mid-level and junior team members.
• Create a collaborative, high-performing team environment where people are challenged, supported and set up for success.
• Work closely with agency leadership to drive business performance and long-term growth.
