Job summary

ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is seeking applications for a Stores Officer (ASO3) at the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC). The role covers warehouse, courier and retail tasks, with supervision of detainees in related programs and training support.

The position is temporary, starting immediately to 1 December 2026, with possible extension. Applicants should have strong communication skills, be capable of administrative duties, and may require after-hours work and manual handling.

Qualifications

• Background/security checks will be conducted.
• This position requires a pre-employment medical.
• Unrestricted Driver’s licence class C is essential.
• Current forklift licence is highly desirable.
• Experience in custodial or secure environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warehouse, courier and retail tasks.
• Supervise detainees in warehouse/logistics/retail programs.
• Conduct administrative tasks including records, reports and stock management.
