Job summary

Aluminium Facade Systems is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operator to join our Eastern Creek warehouse. The role focuses on safe handling, storage, movement and dispatch of inventory, with emphasis on accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment.

You will be hands-on, safety-focused, and detail-oriented, supporting daily operations and aiming for high productivity. Pre-employment medical including drug testing may be required, with reference Checks.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Current Australian LF Forklift License.
• Experience using RF scanners and barcode systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out warehouse tasks including receiving and replenishment, picking and packing orders, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to Alspec OH&S policies & procedures including PPE requirements.
• Ensure safe handling of goods in accordance with handling SWPs.
• Load and unload vehicles using forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Complete stock transfers and inventory movements within the warehouse.
• Assist with order consolidation and dispatch preparation.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate inventory transactions using RF scanners and warehouse systems.
• Assist with cycle counts and stocktake activities.
• Investigate and report damaged stock or inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain stock location accuracy and inventory traceability.
• Support inventory control initiatives to improve stock accuracy.
• Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
• Participate in safety meetings and training activities.
• Wear PPE at all times.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in achieving daily operational and productivity targets.
• Demonstrate flexibility when priorities change.

About the Role...

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator to join our warehouse team in Eastern Creek. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring the safe handling, storage, movement, and dispatch of inventory while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and inventory accuracy.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehousing

• Carry out warehouse tasks which may include, but not limited to, receiving and replenishment, picking and packing orders, and cycle counting.
• Adhere and enforce Alspec OH&S Policies & Procedures including PPE requirements
• Ensure goods are handled in a safe and orderly way in accordance with Alspec manual Handling SWPs
• Load and unload vehicles using forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Complete stock transfers and inventory movements within the warehouse
• Assist with order consolidation and dispatch preparation.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

Inventory Management

• Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded using RF scanners and warehouse systems.
• Assist with cycle counts and stocktake activities.
• Investigate and report damaged stock or inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain stock location accuracy and inventory traceability.
• Support inventory control initiatives to improve stock accuracy.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
• Participate in safety meetings and training activities.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times

Teamwork and Continuous Improvement

• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in achieving daily operational and productivity targets.
• Demonstrate flexibility when operational priorities change.

About You...

You will have:

Essential

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Current Australian LF Forklift License.
• Experience using RF scanners and barcode systems.

Highly Desirable

• Current Overhead Crane License and/or experience operating overhead cranes.
• Experience operating sideloaders (e.g. Hubtex or similar equipment).
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Inventory counting and stock take experience.
• Experience handling bulky, oversized, or long-length products.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, building materials, aluminium, steel, or distribution environments.
