Job summary

Austin Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced Storeperson to manage inventory within our facilities, ensuring accurate receival and dispatch, stock control, and timely material availability.

You will use NetSuite daily, operate a forklift safely, and maintain tidy stores and accurate records. The role emphasizes reliability, organization, and strong teamwork in a dynamic mining-solutions environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift license/ticket is required.
• Experience with company procedures and standards.
• Proven Stores environment experience.
• Understanding of steel material is advantageous.
• Excellent forklift operation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Efficient organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurate receival and dispatch of inventories to support business requirements.
• Monitor stock holdings to prevent obsolescence.
• Store sensitive consumables correctly to prevent deterioration.
• Complete administrative activities including daily use of NetSuite/Oracle.
• Pack and dispatch goods according to standards and timelines.
• Undertake regular stock takes as required.
• Maintain Stores housekeeping at an optimum level.
• Follow company standards on all Stores items within the area/workshop.
• Safely operate forklift to load/unload delivery vehicles and move materials.
• Participate in workshop safety meetings to discuss safety and productivity issues.

Mainetec has an opportunity for internal candidates to apply to work in our Stores team. The Storeperson will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of inventory within Austin Engineering Limited’s facilities, ensuring smooth operations and timely material availability.

Qualifications

• Forklift License/Ticket.
• Experience/Skills Relevant experience with company procedures and standards.
• Proven experience in a Stores environment.
• An understanding of Steel material is advantageous.
• Excellent forklift operational skills
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• NetSuite experience, preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, in dealing with internal and external customers.
• Efficient organization skills.

Primary Duties

1. Accurate receival and dispatch of inventories in support of business requirements.
2. Monitor stock holdings and ensure that inventories do not become obsolete.
3. Ensure sensitive consumable items are stored correctly to prevent deterioration.
4. Complete administrative activities as required including the use of the Oracle - NetSuite system daily.
5. Ensure goods are packed and dispatched in accordance with agreed standards and timelines!
6. Undertake regular stock takes in line with business requirements.
7. Ensure the Stores housekeeping standards are maintained to an optimum level.
8. Ensure company standards are followed without exception on all items within the Stores area and workshop.
9. Safe operation of a forklift to load/unload delivery vehicles as well as the movement of materials
10. Actively participate in workshop safety meetings in order to ensure that all issues associated with safety, productivity, grievances etc. are adequately aired in an open forum.
