Job summary

A major agribusiness company in Victoria is seeking a Storeperson to join their wool handling facility team. The role involves efficiently operating machinery, unloading/loading trucks, and ensuring safe movement of wool bales. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and basic computer skills. Responsibilities

  • Unloading and loading of trucks by forklift.
  • Marking bales in preparation for testing.
  • Ensuring bales are labelled and recorded accurately.
  • Helping in the operation of testing equipment.
  • Adjusting over and under-weight bales as required.
  • Marking bales in preparation for shipping.
  • Collaborating with other team members.
  • Performing additional wool store duties.

Job description

We are looking for a Storeperson to join the team to ensure the smooth operation of our wool handling facility based at Ravenhall.

Working at our purpose-built wool selling centre, this role will contribute to the smooth operations of our facility by efficiently operating the testing machines and ensuring the safe movement of wool bales throughout the wool-handling facility. You will be working in a new, state-of-the‑art facility with all the support and technology at your fingertips to ensure your success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Unloading and loading of trucks by forklift
  • Marking up of bales in preparation for testing
  • Ensure bales are labelled, recorded and branded accurately to ensure minimal errors
  • Help in the operation of the testing equipment
  • Adjusts over and under‑weight bales as required
  • Marking up bales in preparation for shipping
  • Work collaboratively with other members
  • Additional wool store duties are part of this role to help deliver team outcomes
