Job summary

Lifeline Gippsland is seeking a Store and Sorting Supervisor (Part Time) in Wonthaggi to manage daily store operations, lead volunteers, and drive sales targets. This role requires hands-on leadership, merchandising and strong customer service skills in a small team environment.

The successful candidate will work autonomously, including some Saturday shifts, as part of Lifeline Gippsland's mission to support suicide prevention initiatives in the community.

Qualifications

• Retail store management experience required.
• 2+ years in a retail or similar environment.
• Merchandising, recruitment and training experience.
• Strong interpersonal and selling skills.
• Excellent customer service and rapport-building.
• Experience working with volunteers.
• Hands-on leadership and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Wonthaggi Store.
• Stock control and achievement of monthly budgeted sales.
• Motivate and lead a small team of volunteers; some Saturday work may be required.

Store and Sorting Supervisor - Part Time

This incredibly rewarding role allows you to use your retail skills to help generate vital funds that support Lifeline Gippsland's 13 11 14 Crisis Support Line and local suicide prevention initiatives across our community.

About You

As the Store and Sorting Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our Wonthaggi Store, including achieving monthly budgeted sales, undertaking stock control, and motivating and leading a small team of dedicated volunteers. This is a part-time role and some Saturday work may be required.

• Demonstrated experience in managing a retail store
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a retail store or similar environment
• Merchandising, recruitment, and training experience
• Strong interpersonal and selling skills
• Excellent customer service and rapport-building skills
• Experience working with volunteers
• Hands-on leadership skills
• Highly motivated and dynamic individual
• Ability to work autonomously
