Job summary

Department of Health in Darwin/Palmerston is seeking to fill several vacancies in the Surgery and Critical Care unit to carry out decontamination and sterilization of instruments in accordance with AS/NZS 5369:2023.

Qualifications

• Carry out decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Work in Darwin/Palmerston in the Surgery and Critical Care unit.
• Work under the Central Sterilizing Department Manager and Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out decontamination and sterilization of instruments/equipment in accordance with Australian Standards AS/NZS 5369:2023.
• Maintain sterile processing areas and adhere to infection control procedures.
• Assist in quality audits and record-keeping as required.
