Job summary

Priceline Pharmacy Chatswood is expanding with a new sterile compounding lab. We seek a licensed AHPRA pharmacist to lead the lab, drive go-live, and build a compliant, QA-focused operation.

You’ll oversee SOPs, qualification, and supplier/QMS processes, lead a technician team, and work closely with clinical staff to ensure safe, timely compounded products. A pathway to broader leadership awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• AHPRA-registered pharmacist with sterile compounding experience and accreditation.
• Experience commissioning, scaling or managing an aseptic unit (hospital sterile production, oncology or TPN).
• Strong knowledge of PSA, TGA aseptic standards and QA discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sterile lab to go-live and set up SOPs, cleanroom qualification and calibration.
• Oversee daily production of sterile compounded products and patient prescriptions through referring prescribers.
• Manage the technician team, hire as volume scales, and ensure quality, compliance, and supplier relationships.

Sterile Compounding Pharmacist Manager $220K+ salary and bonus

Lead Sterile Compounding Pharmacist – Lab Manager | Chatswood | $87.50/hr + super + bonuses

We’re opening a new sterile compounding lab at Priceline Pharmacy Chatswood. It will prepare treatments for patients referred by an established, doctor-led telehealth service. The investment has been made: the equipment, raw materials and third-party testing are funded. A senior compounding technician is already on the team. What we need now is the pharmacist who will lead it.

This is a chance to shape a new sterile operation to standards with a clear pathway to grow the team and your role.

What you’ll lead

First 2 months: bring the lab to go-live (most of this is already done and scoped)

• Review and finalise the SOP suite across sterile injections, nasal sprays, topicals, capsules, and oral liquids and powders

• Sign off on cleanroom qualification, equipment validation and calibration

• Confirm BUD and stability parameters and the raw material testing regime

• Approve the supplier and QMS framework, including the approved supplier list, change control, COA verification and import requirements

• Lead the lab to go-live, with real authority over how it’s done

Ongoing: run and grow it

• Prepare sterile compounded products for referring prescribers

• Lead your technician team and hire as volume scales

• Work daily with the clinical team on prescriptions, clinical queries and order flow

• Own quality, compliance, inventory, supplier relationships and dispatch

• Continuously improve systems against PSA standards, Pharmacy Board guidelines and current USP

• $10,000 establishment bonus on go-live - paid at completion of product SOPs

About you

• AHPRA-registered pharmacist with sterile compounding experience and accreditation
