Job summary

Service Stream is seeking an experienced State Warehouse Manager to lead and support warehouse operations across the QLD, NSW and ACT network. You will drive operational excellence, inventory accuracy, safety performance and team capability across multiple locations.

This hands‑on leadership role requires travel between QLD, NSW and ACT, working with Supply Chain, Operations and Safety to ensure safe, efficient warehouses with high inventory integrity and customer service outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience across multi-site warehouses.
  • Strong inventory management and stock control knowledge.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop Warehouse Supervisors and teams.
  • Foster a safety‑first culture and drive compliance.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage and dispatch of materials.
  • Maintain stock accuracy and inventory integrity (>98% by SKU).
  • Perform cycle counts and stocktakes per procedures.
  • Identify process improvements to boost efficiency.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel regularly across QLD, NSW and ACT.

Job Description Summary

Service Stream is seeking an experienced State Warehouse Manager - QLD, NSW, ACT to lead and support warehouse operations across our QLD, NSW and ACT network.

Reporting to the National Warehouse Lead, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, safety performance, compliance, and team capability across multiple warehouse locations. This is a hands‑on leadership position suited to an experienced warehouse professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys building high‑performing teams.

Please note this role has regular travel between QLD, NSW and ACT, with other interstate travel as required.

About the Role

You will work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Safety, and Business Unit stakeholders to ensure our warehouses operate safely, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining exceptional inventory integrity and customer service outcomes.

What You’ll Do
Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, coach and develop Warehouse Supervisors and warehouse teams.
  • Foster a positive culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and develop talent while supporting succession planning across the warehouse network.
  • Promote consistent warehouse processes, systems and standards across all sites.
Operational Excellence
  • QLD, NSW and ACT.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage and dispatch of materials.
  • Maintain inventory integrity and stock accuracy exceeding 98% by SKU.
  • Ensure stocktakes, cycle counts and spot checks are completed in line with company procedures.
  • Support warehouse operations during periods of supervisory absence when required.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and performance.
Safety & Compliance
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture across all warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and warehouse records.
  • Ensure all warehouse operations meet regulatory, licensing and governance requirements.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with internal business units, suppliers, clients and external stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Safety teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Represent warehouse operations during audits, reviews and stakeholder engagements.
What You’ll Bring
  • Extensive warehouse management experience across multiple sites or complex warehouse environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing warehouse teams and supervisors.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control and warehouse best practice.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A practical and proactive approach to solving operational challenges.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout QLD, NSW and ACT, with occasional interstate travel as required.
