Job summary

S&A Stairs on the Gold Coast is seeking a Technical Detailer to craft detailed CAD drawings and manufacturing specs for custom and volume stairs. You’ll measure jobs, prepare documentation, program production runs, and liaise with installers and customers to ensure on-site success.

Reporting to the Technical Detailing Manager, this full-time role runs Monday to Friday with plenty of scope to improve processes and contribute to a high-energy, family-business culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with staircases and balustrades (essential).
• Proficiency in drafting programs, including AutoCAD (essential).
• Measurement experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ASANA project management is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication with builders, supervisors and installers.

Responsibilities

• Craft detailed CAD drawings, manufacturing specs, cutting lists and paperwork for custom and volume stairs.
• Interpret quotations and purchase orders.
• Collaborate with builders, supervisors and installers to solve on-site issues.
• Work with Sales on ordering and specification queries.
• Communicate with the Technical Detailing Manager and team.
• Order specialist external products promptly.
