Job summary

Geelong Handrails and Balustrades is seeking a reliable Production & Installation Technician to join our stainless steel manufacturing and installation team in Moolap VIC. You will focus on workshop prep, cutting, drilling, component preparation, and assisting our fabrication and installation crew.

This role suits hands-on workshop or trade experience, with opportunities to develop into TIG welding and fabrication. Immediate start available and a path to skilled stainless steel work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a workshop or trade environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
• Ability to read drawings and follow installation instructions.
• Willingness to learn stainless steel TIG welding.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Cutting stainless steel tube and components using a band saw.
• Drilling, marking out and preparing components.
• Deburring, grinding, polishing and finishing stainless steel.
• Assembling and preparing handrail and balustrade systems.
• Installing handrails and balustrades on residential and commercial sites.
• Reading technical drawings, measurements and installation instructions.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop and sites.
• Completing quality checks and following established procedures.
