The Northern Sydney Voluntary Assisted Dying Service, hosted by Northern Sydney Local Health District, offers roles for Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer contracts. You will assess and manage patients requesting VAD within NSW, ensuring high standards of care and equity across regions.

Candidates should be MBBS with fellowship or equivalent, demonstrate strong leadership and teaching capability, and be prepared to travel across NSW as needed.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and eligible for Medical Board of Australia registration.
• Fellowship of a recognised Australasian Specialist College or equivalent specialist recognition.
• At least 10 years’ medical practice with general registration.

Responsabilités

• Provide medical assessment and management for NSW VAD access requests under the NSW VAD Act 2022.
• Work within NSLHD VAD service to ensure equity of access across NSW.
• Participate in education, training, and on-call commitments as required.
