Join a tertiary referral service as a Staff Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist for a 12-month appointment, with full-time preferred and part-time arrangements potentially considered. The role offers senior clinical scope across high-risk obstetrics, complex gynaecology and gynaecological surgery, with the opportunity to tailor the clinical mix toward Obstetrics, Gynaecology or combined O&G according to your experience and interests.
Working within an established multidisciplinary women's health service, you will provide consultant-level care across acute and elective presentations, participate in the on-call roster, supervise registrars and junior doctors, and contribute to clinical governance, teaching and service development.
The tertiary referral model provides exposure to complex cases supported by neonatal, anaesthetic, critical care, emergency and surgical services.
Based in a well-connected NSW centre offering access to major metropolitan amenities without requiring candidates to base themselves in the centre of a capital city. The location provides established schools, services and transport connections, making it practical for both individual specialists and families.
This is a major tertiary referral, teaching and trauma hospital serving a large and diverse NSW catchment. Its substantial maternity and women's health service manages routine through to high-acuity obstetric and gynaecological referrals, with access to neonatology, anaesthetics, intensive care, emergency medicine and other specialist disciplines. Strong university and research links also allow Staff Specialists to remain actively involved in medical education, registrar supervision, clinical research, governance and service development alongside their clinical practice.
