Job summary

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology with interventional endoscopy expertise. The role focuses on ERCP and EUS within a multidisciplinary team on the Sunshine Coast in Birtinya, QLD.

Permanent and temporary positions available, with part-time 40 hours per fortnight and allowances including car and development support. You will contribute to safe care, quality improvements, and service growth across the SCHHS network.

Qualifications

• Gastroenterology consultant with interventional endoscopy expertise (ERCP and EUS).
• Possession of GESA conjoint committee recognition and/or recertification in endoscopy.
• GESA recognition required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality gastroenterology interventional endoscopy services.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement and safe care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support department growth and development within the Sunshine Coast hospital network.

Staff Specialist (Gastroenterology - Interventional Endoscopy)

Permanent and temporary positions available

• Permanent 40 hours per fortnight
• Temporary 40 hours per fortnight for up to 12 months

We are looking for an exceptional Gastroenterology and Hepatology consultant to join our team within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Advanced skills in Interventional Endoscopy are required, including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).

As a Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service employee your salary includes:

Base salary comprising of between:

• L18 – L24 Staff Specialist
  • $106.91 - $124.18 p.h. (p/t)
  • $8,552.80 - $9,934.60 p.f. (f/t)
• L25 – L27 Senior Staff Specialist
  • $127.85 - $135.55 p.h. (p/t)
  • $10,227.90 - $10,844.00 p.f (f/t)

Standard allowances (additional to base salary):

• Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
  • $23,395 p.a. (L18 - L24 Staff Specialist)
  • $28,408 p.a. (L25 – L27 Senior Staff Specialist)
• Professional development allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
  • $22,145 p.a.
• Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
• Overtime and on-call allowances (paid by exception)
• Generous superannuation of up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• Annual leave loading

You will provide high quality gastroenterology interventional endoscopy services for our community, with a focus on leading safe care, driving quality improvement and innovation, and collaboratively contributing to department growth and development within a multidisciplinary team.

Possession of a valid Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) conjoint committee recognition and/or valid GESA recertification in endoscopy is required for this position.
