NSW Health Pathology is seeking a Permanent Full Time Staff Specialist to provide Chemical Pathology services and laboratory supervision across our services. This is a new position. The Staff Specialist position is primarily based at Wollongong Hospital and will be responsible for the provision of Chemical Pathology services in the Illawarra Shoalhaven area.
The Staff Specialist will also provide cover and supervision of laboratory activities at Prince of Wales Hospital and St George Hospital, their branch laboratories at Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital, Sutherland Hospital, and the branch laboratories of Wollongong Hospital at Shellharbour Hospital and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. The Staff Specialist will work at least one day per week at Prince of Wales or St George Hospital.
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Illawarra Shoalhaven and South Eastern Sydney areas, though the Staff Specialist will also provide services, support and laboratory supervision to other NSWHP Chemical Pathology sites in other parts of the State as needed.
