Job summary

Within the Manage & Own Crew in CBA's Digital Home Buying Domain, you'll help shape the technology behind one of the most important financial journeys in our customers' lives. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll combine strategic thinking, technical leadership, and hands‑on expertise to deliver the next generation of home loan experiences. Working across the full stack with .NET, ASP.NET Core, React, and Next.js, you'll design and build scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions.

• Build and own full‑stack solutions – delivering backend services in .NET / ASP.NET Core and modern front ends using React and Next.js, with strong focus on performance, maintainability, and accessibility.
• Work across the full engineering lifecycle – from problem definition and architecture through delivery, CI/CD, observability, and production support in an Agile and DevSecOps environment.
• Design scalable backend platforms – building secure, resilient APIs and services in .NET, applying strong domain modelling, performance optimisation, and operational visibility.
• Deliver complex front‑end capabilities – engineering modern web platforms with React and Next.js, using scalable component patterns, SSR/SSG strategies, and performance optimisation.
