Job summary

Relevance AI is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer in Sydney. You will own application and product security for a platform of autonomous agents serving enterprise customers. The role is hands-on and design-forward, reporting to Head of Engineering with no direct reports.

We value deep AppSec expertise across authn/authz, API security, and secure design, with a focus on integrating guardrails, least-privilege access, and prompt-injection defenses. Hybrid work in Sydney is supported.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AppSec on a production platform including APIs and code
• Experience implementing authentication/authorization controls and secure design reviews
• Ability to reason about end-to-end autonomous systems and risk

Responsibilities

• Migrate and secure access control models across the platform
• Strengthen API security, input/output handling, and supply-chain risk
• Develop guardrails for safe agent actions and least-privilege access
