Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking a Casual Construction Assistant to join our team in Ipswich, Queensland. You’ll support on a variety of construction and industrial projects, with opportunities for ongoing casual work and potential permanent roles.

We offer competitive pay, weekly wages, 11.5% superannuation, and a daily travel allowance. Minimum 12 months’ labouring or trade assistant experience, Construction White Card, and a valid driver’s licence are required for consideration.

What You'll Be Doing

• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites

• General manual handling duties

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)

• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
