Hussey & Co, a growing agribusiness in Newry, seeks a Spray Operator to join our team. You will operate tractors and spray equipment, perform daily checks, and help maintain data and machinery.

We value resilience, flexibility, and a hands-on approach. A current chemical licence or willingness to obtain one, and basic English communication skills are preferred; shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Tractor / spraying experience is an advantage.
• Current Chemical licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in vegetable farming is an advantage.
• Mechanically minded with a hands-on approach.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Computer literacy and readiness to adapt to tech.
• Proficient English verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Energetic and proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operating tractors and spray equipment
• Completing daily checks on all spray equipment
• Maintain data and record systems
• Maintaining company machinery
• Reporting of any perceivable issues to the Crop Care Manager
• Adhering to company OH&S policies and procedures
• Shift Work will be required depending on the season
