Job summary

State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) is seeking a Sports Technology Supervisor to oversee setup, operation, and pack-down of tech for events at MSAC and Lakeside Stadium.

You will coach Sports Technology Officers and act as the main tech support during events, collaborating with specialists to test and evaluate equipment across SSCT venues.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in event operations or related environment.
  • Familiarity with sports technology and/or audio-visual systems (Omega timing equipment, mixing desks, microphones).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent computer literacy and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the setup, operation and pack-down of sports technology equipment for events of all scales.

About State Sport Centres:

The Victorian State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) operates and maintains over $1 billion assets including four of Australia’s largest multi-sport venues, the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), the State Netball and Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium incorporating the State Athletics Centre, and Knox Regional Sports Park including the State Basketball Centre (SBC).


Unlike other major international standard venues that host sport and entertainment events, SSCT venues also provide access for users at all levels, from elite and professional athletes to school and community participants 7 days per week, up to 16 hours a day.


Through the provision of access for all, SSCT makes a unique and significant contribution to Victoria’s sport sector.

About the role:

As the Sports Technology Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

This role will primarily work at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) and Lakeside Stadium, with opportunities to work across all SSCT venues including State Netball & Hockey Centre and State Basketball Centre.


Required skills and Qualifications:


  • Proven leadership experience in event operations or a related environment.

  • Familiarity with sports technology and/or audio-visual systems (e.g. Omega timing equipment, mixing desks, microphones and related technology).

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environments.

  • Excellent computer literacy and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
