Qualifications

  • Degree in Speech Pathology required for the role.
  • Must have Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Check.
  • First Aid Certificate including anaphylaxis and asthma required.

Firstchance, a leading provider of early childhood intervention services, has a rare opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our highly experienced team of 14 dedicated professionals. Full Time and Part Time options available.

About the company

Firstchance has been providing Early Childhood intervention support for children with a disability and/or developmental delay and their families for over 45 years in the Newcastle Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens region. We support over 450 families annually delivering services in homes, preschools, early learning centres, schools, community settings and at our Mayfield office. Our team of 70 dedicated staff including Allied Health professionals and Specialist Educators offers you the chance to grow your skills beyond Speech Pathology through collaboration and innovation.

About the role
  • Full time and/or part time role available.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team alongside Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Specialist Educators and Family Workers.
  • Join our experienced team of Speech Pathologists.
  • Work collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to innovative programs that change lives.
  • Provide evidence-based assessment and therapy for children aged 0-12 years.
  • Support children with a range of disabilities including autism, developmental delay, chromosomal disorders and genetic conditions.
  • Providing a full range of Speech Pathology supports including undertaking assessments.
Qualifications and experience
  • A Degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • NDIS Worker Check.
  • Driver's licence and use of own comprehensively insured reliable car.
  • Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP).
  • First Aid Certificate (including anaphylaxis and asthma).
