Job summary

Health Workforce Queensland is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join a growing team in Roma, QLD. You will assess and treat paediatric clients 0–18 years across home, school, and clinic settings, while building strong relationships with families and educators.

The role includes NDIS/Medicare reporting and participation in community events. The position offers flexible working arrangements, a generous PD budget, supervision, a company vehicle, and 9-day fortnights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology required.
  • SPA membership current.
  • Blue Card current.
  • Professional indemnity insurance current.
  • Driver's licence (company vehicle provided).
  • Interest/experience in orofacial myology, feeding and speech sound disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and provide paediatric therapy to clients 0–18 years (opportunity to work with adults upon discussion).
  • Deliver sessions in homes, schools, kindergartens, daycares and clinic.
  • Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and families.
  • Prepare clinical documentation for NDIS, Medicare and private paying clients.
  • Participate in community events, group therapy and seminars.
  • Attend weekly supervision and multidisciplinary meetings funded by the company.
  • Potential outreach to rural towns if desired.

Position Description:
  • Assessment and therapy for paediatric clients 0-18yrs (opportunities to work with adults or specific age groups is available upon discussion)

  • Delivery of session in homes, schools, kindergartens, daycares, and our clinic room

  • Building and maintenance of professional relationships with key stakeholders, referral networks, families and educators

  • Clinical documentation and reporting for NDIS, Medicare and Private paying clients

  • Participation in their community events e.g. group therapy, information and educational seminars, and presentations at kindergartens and playgroups

  • Participation in weekly supervision, multidisciplinary team meetings, team based learning and external professional development which is funded by the company

  • Potential for outreach day trips to rural towns if desired

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology

  • Current Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership

  • Current Blue Card,

  • Current Professional indemnity insurance

  • Current drivers’ licence (a company vehicle will be provided)

  • Has experience or an interest in orofacial myology, feeding and speech sound disorders

  • Be driven and eager to grow, learn, and build a career

  • Enjoy working with children and making therapy fun!

  • Be reliable and have excellent interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with their team of OT’s, Speech Pathologist, AHA’s and admin
