ISLHD invites applications for a permanent full-time Level 1/2 Speech Pathologist to join the growing Shoalhaven Speech Pathology team and support the new Shoalhaven Hospital redevelopment. The role offers a rotational model across inpatient and outpatient caseloads and across Shoalhaven Hospital, David Berry Hospital and Milton Ulladulla Hospital, delivering diverse clinical experiences.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in speech pathology with eligibility for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Current unrestricted drivers licence (P2 minimum) and willingness to travel for work purposes.
• Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role and WWCC.

Responsibilities

• Rotational model across inpatient and outpatient caseloads across multiple sites (Shoalhaven Hospital, David Berry Hospital, Milton Ulladulla Hospital).
• Gain broad experience across a diverse range of clinical presentations and settings.
• Support development and progression within the Shoalhaven Speech Pathology team.

An exciting opportunity is available to join the growing Shoalhaven Speech Pathology team as we welcome the opening of the brand-new Shoalhaven Hospital.

This permanent full-time Level 1/2 Speech Pathologist position offers a unique opportunity to maximise your clinical experience through a rotational model across inpatient and outpatient caseloads and multiple sites. You will have the opportunity to work across Shoalhaven Hospital, David Berry Hospital and Milton Ulladulla Hospital, gaining broad experience across a diverse range of clinical presentations and settings. The rotational nature of the position provides excellent opportunities for professional growth, skill development and career progression, making this an ideal role for an experienced Level 1/2 Speech Pathologist looking to broaden their clinical expertise.

An eligibility list and/or talent pool may be created where candidates may be offered casual or temporary full-time or part-time positions across ISLHD within 18 months of the job advertisement closing.

Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region , providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on ventilated, high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.

The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region. Once complete in 2026, the new seven-storey Acute Services Building and refurbishments on the current hospital site will bring a focus on career development. allowing you to grow your career, acquire new skills and advance professionally as the hospital continues to develop. Within this redevelopment, a purpose-designed Mental Health Inpatient Unit will open for the first time at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, providing local consumers with access to comprehensive inpatient mental health care closer to home.
