Job summary

MediRecruit is seeking an experienced Community Speech Pathologist to join a leading national allied health provider in Cairns, QLD. You will deliver community-based services to NDIS participants, supported by a multidisciplinary team, with a mix of clinic and telehealth work.

You may tailor your caseload to areas including AAC, Adult Neuro, Cognitive and Social Communication Skills, Dysphagia and Early Childhood Services.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and report writing skills are essential.
• Community speech pathology experience is preferred.
• Eligible to work in Australia and own a current driver’s license.

Speech Pathologist - Commmunity - Cairns, QLD

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Speech Pathologist to join a leading national allied health provider in Cairns, QLD. You will provide community-based services to NDIS participants of all ages, supported by a multidisciplinary team, with clinic and telehealth work complementing your community caseload. A unique allocations structure supports your preference to work in a generalist capacity or tailor your caseload to one or more areas including Complex Communication (AAC), Adult Neuro, Cognitive and Social Communication Skills, Dysphagia and Early Childhood Services.

You will be supported by an industry-leading clinical supervision framework, with your own Team Leader, Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Support Team tailoring your development to your individual needs. Clinical Supervisors support no more than three supervisees each, and Clinical Practice Advisors (subject matter experts) provide mentoring in both individual and group settings, with monthly peer supervision and Senior Practitioner Communities of Practice available for experienced clinicians.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
• Current membership or eligibility with Speech Pathology Australia
• Minimum 12 months experience (essential)
• Demonstrated community speech pathology experience (essential)
• Experience or interest in NDIS service delivery
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
• Current driver's licence
• Eligible to work in Australia
