Job summary

Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools invites applications for a Speech Pathologist in the Inclusive Education team. You will deliver MTSS-based speech pathology services to enhance student communication, participation and progression across the Diocese's schools.

Regular travel to multiple schools with overnight stays is required; you will develop resources, support staff, and implement inclusive practices aligned with the Catholic identity of our workplaces.

The opportunity

In this role, you will work collaboratively within an Inclusive Education team to improve learning outcomes for students with speech, language and communication vulnerabilities. Using a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework, you will deliver educational speech pathology services that enhance students' communication skills and support their access to, participation in, and progression through learning. You will support schools to implement inclusive practices and reasonable adjustments while building staff capability through contributing to the development of evidence-informed resources and professional learning.

Please note this role will require regular travel to a range of schools across the Diocese,including overnight stays.

About You

Effective relationship building and influencing skills.

A minimum of one years’ experience as a Speech Pathologist.

Able to travel regularly to a range of schools across the Diocese,including overnight stays.

Possession of a Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology from a recognised tertiary institution, or other equivalent formal qualifications which is acceptable.

Eligibility for certified practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.

Hold a current C class Drivers Licence.

Hold a current Paid Blue Card for working with children issued by Blue Card Services or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencing in this role.
