Job description

Work with world-renowned products and services.

Permanent role with flexible hours.

About Us:

Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.

The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world.

There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.

Foster your fascination and pride in our work. Get inspired every day by the world-class precious metal products we work together to refine, design, produce and then distribute all over the globe. Connect to the rich history of our industry in a workplace firmly rooted in the present — as leaders in sustainability and inclusion.

At The Perth Mint, you’ll be supported in a diverse team where differences are celebrated and your well-being matters — striking the right work-life balance with compassionate team benefits. And if your career goals change, you’ll be empowered to change roles with training and internal mobility.

We value inclusion and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including First Nations people, people with disability, LGBTQI+ communities, culturally diverse groups, youth, and seniors. If you need accommodations, please contact recruitment@perthmint.com.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for someone who knows procurement inside out, and enjoys being the person others turn to when things need to get done right. This is a permanent full-time role based in East Perth, but every now and then, you could be asked to help out at our Refinery site. It’s not a daily thing, but being flexible and willing to jump in when needed is part of the gig.

You’ll be working across different business units, so no two days will look the same. One moment you’re helping shape a tender, the next you’re facilitating a site visit or guiding someone through our procurement platform. You’ll be partnering with business owners to develop contracts from start to finish - making sure everything runs smoothly, meets compliance standards, and delivers real value.

This role isn’t just about ticking boxes. It’s about building relationships, solving problems, and helping the business make smart decisions. If you like variety, enjoy working with different teams, and want to be part of something that’s always evolving, you’ll fit right in.

About You:

You’re someone who brings a calm head and a clear plan. You’ve got a couple of years under your belt in procurement or contract management, and you’re comfortable juggling timelines, stakeholders, and the occasional curveball. If you’ve worked with WA procurement rules or in a government trading environment, even better, but it’s not a dealbreaker.

Ideally, you have a procurement qualification under your belt or you’re working towards one, and while that’s definitely a plus, it’s not a must have. You’re the kind of person who’s happy to help others learn, whether it’s running a training session or just showing someone how to get the most out of the platform.

You care about doing things properly. You’re across the details, but you don’t get bogged down. You know how to keep things moving, how to communicate clearly, and how to bring people along with you. And, when it comes to safety, confidentiality, and environmental impact - you take it seriously.

Our Benefits:
  • Flexible work including purchased leave and leave at half pay
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Competitive salaries and employee discounts
  • Charity and volunteer initiatives
  • Health and wellness programs, including an Employee Assistance Program
  • Salary sacrifice – superannuation contributions.

Flexible arrangements will be considered on an individual basis.

Applications close on 4 September 2026. The Perth Mint reserves the right to close applications prior to this date.

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia and pass our national security check.
