Job summary

BHP is seeking an experienced Specialist Operating Environments to join the Hybrid Cloud Platforms Operating Environments team in Perth. The role focuses on configuring, maintaining and supporting IT/OT Operating Systems and Active Directory across BHP's Australian assets, working with a dedicated team to deliver reliable services.

You will automate functions with PowerShell, support compute infrastructure including VMware vSphere and server hardware, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server environments including AD DS, Group Policy and SCCM/MECM in large enterprises.
• Experience developing automation solutions using PowerShell and Splunk.
• Experience supporting compute infrastructure with Cisco and Dell servers.
• Experience managing virtualised environments using VMware vSphere.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes (ServiceNow).
• Exposure to RHEL environments is advantageous.

About the Role

BHP is seeking an extremely motivated and skilled individual to join the Hybrid Cloud Platforms Operating Environments team. The Specialist Operating Environments plays an important role in the delivery of critical enterprise and production services to BHP. You will be a key member assisting with the configuration, maintenance and support of IT/OT Operating Systems and OT Active Directory across BHPs Australian assets. You will work alongside a dynamic and dedicated team focused on its customers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Automation of Operating Environment services & activities and ongoing maintenance of these services
• Maintaining capacity, availability, and health of Hybrid Cloud Platforms Operating Environments
• Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, applying a customer focussed approach
• Contributing and improving standards and operating procedures
• Identifying and delivering improvements to our environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.

You will bring:

• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation solutions using PowerShell and Splunk.
• Experience supporting compute infrastructure, including Cisco and Dell server technologies.
• Experience managing virtualised environments using VMware vSphere.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
• Exposure to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments will be highly regarded.
