Job summary

NSW Poisons Information Centre (NSWPIC) at The Children's Hospital Westmead invites pharmacists to join our team. You will manage poisoning cases and provide expert poison information, supported by structured training to become a Specialist in Poisons Information (SPI).

Join a large, dedicated unit within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. We offer on-site work with flexible remote options during training and a 24/7 roster to support continuous caregiving.

Qualifications

• Full (or eligible for full) registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated recent clinical pharmacy experience (minimum 6 of the last 12 months).
• Proven expertise in drug information provisions.
• Demonstrated clear, confident communication with patients and health professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and document accurately in a clinical setting.
• Commitment to a 24/7 SPI roster including mornings, evenings, overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide poison information and clinical guidance to health professionals and the public.
• Training to become Specialist in Poisons Information (SPI).
• Contribute to 24/7 roster and flexible work arrangements as required.
