Job summary

MedRecruit Limited is seeking a Specialist Consultant in Surgery for a regional NSW hospital. The position involves on-site and off-site on-call shifts with handovers to the incoming surgeon.

Rates are $1500 per day for 12-hour shifts and $2500 per day for 24-hour shifts; travel and accommodation are included. Current AHPRA registration is mandatory to practice, and the hospital features multiple theatres and comprehensive services.

Qualifications

• Must hold current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist surgical care as Consultant/Specialist/VMO.
• Be on-call as required and participate in handovers to incoming on-call surgeons.
• Attend scheduled on-site and off-site on-call shifts as part of the service.

• 22 December 2026 | 1900 - 0700 offsite on call
• 23 - 26 December 2026 | 0700 - 1900 onsite on call then 1900 - 0700 offsite on call
• 27 December 2026 | 0700 - 1900 onsite and on call > Handover to incoming on call Surgeon.

• $1500/daily for 12hour shifts | $2500/daily for 24hour shifts

Please note that all rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading, where applicable.
