Job summary

MedRecruit Limited seeks an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to help establish and grow a new interventional service at a major regional hospital in Rockhampton, QLD. The role covers general and interventional cardiology across the CCU, ward, outpatient clinics and a new cath lab, with clinical leadership and program development opportunities.

The position offers permanent full-time or part-time arrangements, with a total remuneration package including superannuation and leave loading,

About the Role

A rare opportunity for an Interventional Cardiologist to help establish and grow a new Interventional Cardiology service within a major regional referral centre. You will provide General and Interventional Cardiology services across the Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology Ward, outpatient clinics, and a newly completed Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. The role also involves clinical leadership, service development, teaching, and quality improvement.

Requirements

• Specialist registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Cardiologist in Australia.
• Contemporary Interventional Cardiology experience, including PCI practice.
• Strong General Cardiology skills.
• Experience in clinical leadership, governance, and service development.
• Commitment to teaching and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• International candidates can be considered, subject to registration and eligibility requirements.
• Professional Development Allowance of $22,145 p.a.
• Professional Development Leave (3.6 weeks p.a.).
• Motor vehicle, overtime, recall, and on-call allowances as applicable.
