Job summary

MedRecruit Limited is seeking a locum GP/CMO in charge to cover a temporary period from 23 to 29 November 2026 at a northern NSW hospital. This 52-bed facility provides acute and emergency care with maternity services, and the role includes travel reimbursement and accommodation arrangements where applicable.

Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration and be able to work as a GP VMO or CMO in charge for the specified dates.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with AHPRA to practice as a medical practitioner.
• Locum GP/CMO in charge roles considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP VMO or CMO in-charge coverage for the locum period (23–29 November 2026).
• Deliver clinical care during the assigned shift period and coordinate with hospital staff as needed.

This 52-bed facility provides acute care, emergency care and maternity services for a major city district in northern NSW. It recently had a $60 million redevelopment where a new purpose built facility, with a connection to the existing hospital, brings all acute health care services under one roof including: the main entry and reception, Emergency, Medical Imaging, Renal Dialysis, Inpatient Unit, Maternity, Paediatrics, Day Surgery and Operating Theatre.
