Job summary

Department of Education Victoria Cobram is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher to deliver engaging programs for diverse learners aged 5-18 in a dual-mode specialist setting. The role focuses on planning, preparation, and teaching to meet student outcomes within the Victorian Curriculum and school-wide priorities.

Two salary ranges (Range 1 and Range 2) apply; experience, collaboration with staff and families, assessment, and ongoing professional learning are central.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to plan high-impact teaching strategies and evaluate learning growth.
• Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning with data-informed feedback.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to professional learning and Department values.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertake other classroom teaching-related and organizational duties as directed.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
