Job summary

Palladium is seeking a Special Projects Manager to coordinate PLMSP’s response to urgent tasks and complex projects. You will apply international development project management skills to turn requests into clear plans, budgets, risk approaches and high-quality deliverables.

You will work with DFAT, senior program leaders, PLMSP teams, Pacific stakeholders and technical specialists to manage short-cycle international development projects from definition through delivery and reporting.

Qualifications

• Five years’+ experience in international development project management or related role.
• Experience developing project plans, budgets and risk management approaches.
• Strong written communication for concise briefs and updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead responses to DFAT Tasking Notes and short-notice requests with clear scope, timelines and budgets.
• Manage international development projects from inception through delivery and reporting.
• Produce concise briefings, updates, and reports for senior government officials.
• Coordinate inputs from PLMSP teams, DFAT, stakeholders and technical specialists with culturally appropriate engagement.
• Identify risks early, manage dependencies and escalate material issues.
• Lead improvements to delivery through data, AI or technology and better ways of working.
