Job summary

Hope Adventist School is seeking a part-time educational support role to work with students who have special needs. The position runs three days per week (Monday to Wednesday), from 8.00am to 3.00pm, on a term-time contract for the rest of 2026.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid Blue Card and have experience working with children who have special needs. The role supports the classroom teacher and involves close collaboration with families.

Qualifications

• Blue Card (Paid) is required.
• Experience working with children who have special needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with students who have special needs
• Develop an effective, positive relationship with students
• Communicate effectively and display a high level of interpersonal skills as part of the team
• Display confidentiality, reliability and sensitivity to students and families
• Support the classroom teacher with student learning activities both inside and outside the classroom
