Job summary

Arbor Grove Primary School in Western Australia is seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants - Special Needs for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

As Education Assistants, you will work under teacher direction to support educational programs and foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

Experience supporting educational programs for students with special needs.
Strong written and verbal communication with staff, parents and professionals.
Ability to work in a team evaluating educational programs including therapy programs.
Knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students.
Willingness to obtain Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

Assist with educational programs under teacher direction and promote an inclusive learning environment.
Provide feedback on education and therapy programs and participate in evaluation related to goals in special education.
Support student growth academically and socially within the classroom setting.
Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement education programs.
