Elanora Heights Public School in Sydney's Northern Beaches is establishing an Autism support class for 2027. The school seeks an educator with Special Education experience who can work autonomously and collaboratively to plan and deliver personalised learning for students with Autism and complex needs.

Applicants must hold full NSW teaching approval and WWCC clearance and engage with families and external providers.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach special education, with experience in effective classroom management to support students with Autism and complex learning needs including behavioural or emotional challenges.
• Organisational and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate with students, staff, parents/carers and external providers to plan, deliver and review evidence-based, personalised learning and support plans that engage students with Autism and complex learning needs.
• Ability to design and deliver differentiated, data-informed individualised programs that use explicit teaching, evidence-based practice, and high expectations to improve academic, social, and behavioural outcomes.
• Engage in the collaborative culture of the school and a willingness and commitment to contribute positively to the whole school vision for improvement.
