Job summary

JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is seeking a exceptional spa therapist on a casual basis with availability across the whole week. The role involves delivering luxury spa experiences, including facials, massages and body treatments in a tranquil environment at our premium hotel on the Gold Coast.

The successful candidate will have recent spa experience, confident treatment skills, and a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, with excellent presentation and guest communication.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a beauty/spa therapist.
• Experience and confidence in spa treatments such as facials, massage and body treatments.
• Previous experience in a 5 star Hotel Property (highly regarded).
• Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
• Excellent personal presentation standards and strong communication skills.
• Able to anticipate guests needs and build genuine connection.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and skin analysis prior to treatments.
• Provide body and facial services, facial treatments, manicures and pedicures and spa rituals.
• Suggest treatment plans for future re-bookings.
• Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products.
• Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy.
• Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift.

About the role:

We are looking for exceptional spa therapist on a casual basis with availability across the whole week who have passion for the Spa industry and are able to create immersive experiences for the guests by providing quality treatments including facials, massage and body treatments in a luxurious and tranquil environment.

Critical responsibilities:

• Provide consultation and skin analysis prior to treatments
• Provide body and facial services, facial treatments, manicures and pedicures and spa rituals
• Suggests treatment plans for future re-bookings.
• Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products.
• Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy.
• Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service.

Successful Candidates will have:

• Recent experience as a beauty/spa therapist
• Experience and confidence in spa treatments such as facials, massage and body treatments
• Previous experience in a 5 star Hotel Property (highly regarded)
• Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• You have excellent personal presentation standards and strong communication skills
• Able to anticipate guests needs and build genuine connection
