Job summary

Belgravia Health and Leisure Group Pty Ltd invites applications for a Spa Attendant at Higher State, Melbourne Airport. You will be greeting members, delivering pampering services, and maintaining a premier wellness environment as we open and expand in the airport precinct.

Responsibilities include assisting therapists, pool monitoring, stock handling, cleaning, and safety checks. Weekend and some midweek availability required with a flexible roster.

Qualifications

• Working With Children Check required or willing to obtain
• Police Check required or willing to obtain
• First Aid Level 2 current or valid
• Current CPR certification
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Legal right to work in Australia

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members and guests in accordance with operating procedures
• Deliver high-level spa guest service and support to therapists
• Monitor pool area and perform water safety checks as part of daily tasks
• Assist with stock deliveries, linen handling and inventory management
• Support membership sign-ups when needed (not a sales focus)
• Assist other departments to ensure optimal guest experience
• Clean and maintain facilities to the highest standard
• Conduct safety equipment checks including first aid equipment

The Role

A once in a lifetime opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering the highest level of relaxation and pampering to Higher State - Melbourne Airport as we open and expand into the area.

Our Spa Attendants are the heart of our business providing important services such as greeting our regular users and potential new members in accordance with our established operational routines and procedures. The primary responsibility of our Spa Attendant is to deliver first class service to our members and guests at the Higher State - Melbourne Airport.

Our team takes pride in maintaining the facilities to an exceptional standard of our group of businesses. You may also assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.

These tasks may include however not limited to;

• Monitoring customers in the pool - Lifeguard and pool water testing
• Retrieving stock deliveries
• Touring and welcoming members and guests
• Sometimes helping with membership signup (not sales perse)
• Supporting the spa therapist with linen
• Cleaning
• Stock management - rolling towels, filling soap dispensers
• Safety equipment checks including First aid checks

Experienced attendants are invited to join our fabulous team. You must be available weekends and some midweek days. (Some weekend only positions are also available).

Our Spa operates 7 days a week, 10am to 8pm, we will be able to provide a flexible rotating roster.

Successful applicants will require:

• Working With Children Check
• Police Check
• First Aid Level 2
• Current CPR
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Legal working rights in Australia

If you do not hold these qualifications, you must be willing to obtain.

The Venue

The Higher State is located within the Novotel & ibis styles Melbourne Airport, a new dual-branded, 464-room hotel which opened on 1 July 2024.

The Novotel Melbourne Airport with 248 rooms, and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport with 216 rooms, will be located just steps away from Terminal 4, Melbourne Airport. Guests will enjoy access to a fitness centre, conference rooms, pool, co working space and a number of food & beverage venues which form the hub of the mixed‑use precinct.

This will be a village centre supporting the airport community as a place to gather and socialise for everyone who travels and works from the airport precinct.
