Job summary

Trust for Nature is seeking an Area Manager to lead a small team delivering private land conservation outcomes across the Glenelg Hopkins and Wimmera catchments. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and requires strong stakeholder management and leadership.

You will oversee conservation programs, engage with funding partners, and travel across the South West area. Based in South West Victoria, with preferred locations including Horsham, Dimboola or Warrnambool.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science, natural resource management or similar.
• Strong understanding of conservation principles and practices, with ability to translate into strategic documents and proposals.
• Demonstrated leadership and experience managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to deliver private land conservation outcomes.
• Cultivate relationships with funding partners to leverage funding opportunities.
• Oversee delivery of conservation programs and projects across the catchments.
• Travel throughout the South West area and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
