Job summary

Queensland Health's Bayside Health Service is seeking a Senior Sonographer to provide high-quality, evidence-based ultrasound across the service, using advanced clinical judgement to support patient outcomes.

You will mentor staff, supervise students, contribute to education, quality improvement, and research, and help advance ultrasound services within Redland Hospital and the Bayside Health network.

Your new role:

As a Senior Sonographer, you'll provide high-quality, evidence-based ultrasound services across Bayside Health Service, using advanced clinical judgement to manage complex workloads and support optimal patient outcomes. You'll act as a clinical resource for the ultrasound team, mentor and supervise developing clinicians and students, and contribute to education, quality improvement, research and the ongoing advancement of ultrasound services.

You're an experienced Sonographer who combines advanced clinical expertise with strong communication, leadership and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred ultrasound services.

• Demonstrate high-level expertise in complex ultrasound clinical practice.


• Apply sound clinical judgement to prioritise and manage complex workloads.


• Communicate confidently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs.
