Job summary

Softtest Pays Pty Ltd in Canberra seeks a Solution Architect to design cloud-based solutions on the AWS stack, coordinating with business and technical teams. The role requires travel onboarding visits and periodic trips to Canberra throughout the year to support deployment activities.

The candidate should have 4+ years in solution architecture, strong design capabilities across application, information, integration, technology and security domains, and relevant AWS certifications.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years demonstrated experience as a solution architect in complex business/technical environments.
• Ability to facilitate architecture decisions with business, architecture peers and technical staff.
• Experience producing solution designs covering application, information, integration, technology and security perspectives.
• Demonstrated self-starter with ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads.

Job description

Australian Citizens residing in Australia ACT, NSW, VIC, Offsite only respond. If candidate is offsite, it is expected the successful candidate will travel to IP Australia office for 1-2 days to complete their onboarding. As well, they are expected to travel to Canberra at least 4 times per year.

• Demonstrated experience in developing solutions using cloud services across the AWS stack, including but not limited to EC2, VPCs, Aurora, SNS, Kubernetes, API Gateway and Lambda Function.25%
• At least 4 years demonstrated experience working as a solution architect, producing quality outcomes in complex business and technical environments with demonstrated quality outcomes.25%
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate architecture decisions, working with business, architecture peers and technical staff.20%
• Demonstrated experience in producing solution designs covering application, information, integration, technology and security perspectives.20%
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads.10%
• AWS Cloud certification or equivalent.
• Understanding core technologies used in IP Australia which include AWS cloud native technologies, Java Enterprise Edition, PostgreSQL, SAP, M365, SharePoint Online, Power Apps and the supporting infrastructure including OpenShift, RHEL, NAS
