Job summary

PSD Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Solar to join our growing Solar team in North Lakes, Australia. You will contribute to design, development, technical coordination and delivery of utility-scale solar projects and related infrastructure.

In this role you will work across tendering, design development, construction and commissioning, using AutoCAD and solar modelling platforms to support high-quality outcomes. Strong collaboration and practical engineering delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equal in engineering disciplines related to solar projects.
• 3–5 years’ experience in solar engineering or related fields.
• Experience on utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop design documentation for utility-scale solar projects, including site layouts and equipment layouts.
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations and technical schedules.
• Use AutoCAD and solar design software (PVSyst, Helioscope) for modelling and analysis.
• Support construction, commissioning and project close-out activities.
• Review supplier and vendor documentation for design alignment.
