Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support multiple engineering teams to deliver high‑quality solutions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Mentor and coach team members, including tech leads, helping them grow technically and professionally through feedback, career development plans, and tailored learning initiatives.
• Provide a clear strategic vision, ensuring teams work cohesively toward common goals.
• Contribute hands‑on where necessary, including technical design reviews, code reviews, and assisting in critical incident escalations to unblock the team.

Qualifications:

• Proven software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in building and delivering production systems.
• Proven track record of managing multiple squads of high‑performing engineering teams.
• Proven experience developing and executing strategic plans for engineering initiatives, aligning them with business objectives.
• Significant experience mentoring and coaching engineers and tech leads.
• Experience solving complex technical and organisational challenges.
• Solid understanding of scalable systems, modern development practices, and engineering best practices.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate seamlessly with leaders from other departments, ensuring alignment and effective execution of initiatives.
• Champion Engineering Excellence in one of Australia's fastest growing tech companies.
• Lead teams of Full‑Stack Engineers in a cloud native tech stack including AWS, Microservices, Large‑Scale Distributed Systems, K8s, Terraform, Typescript, Svelte, GraphQL, Nodejs and React.
• Exposure to ensuring successful delivery of global, large‑scale volume products which consume billions of requests per day.
