Job summary

Lite n’ Easy is seeking a Software Development Team Lead to head our Brisbane-based ICT team. This hands-on leader will mentor 5 developers and drive continuous improvement across projects.

You will balance strategy and coding, enforce coding standards, manage timelines from concept to launch, and coordinate with Applications and ICT Project Managers. The role combines Agile/Waterfall and BAU work in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in web and application development.
• 5+ years' experience leading and mentoring development teams.
• Strong experience with Microsoft technology stack: C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, RESTful APIs.
• Solid SQL Server and database development experience.
• Strong understanding of application security in ecommerce environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 developers to grow their skills.
• Establish and enforce best practices across web and app development.
• Manage timelines from concept to launch with ICT Project Manager.

About The Role

Are you a seasoned Developer who enjoys both the strategy of leadership and staying close to the code? At Lite n’ Easy, we are looking for a Software Development Team Lead to join our Brisbane-based ICT team. This is a high-impact, "brownfield" environment where you will head a team of 5 in-house developers dedicated to continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys mentoring developers, driving best practices, and delivering innovative solutions that support both operational excellence and strategic business growth.

• Lead & Mentor: Head a team of 5 skilled developers, fostering a collaborative environment and identifying opportunities for their professional growth.
• Enforce Standards: Establish and lead best practices in Web and Application development, ensuring the team maintains excellent coding standards across the full development cycle.
• Technical Delivery: Manage timelines from concept through to application launch, working closely with the Applications Manager and ICT Project Manager to prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Hybrid Approach: Navigate a diverse workload involving Agile/ Waterfall and Squads for projects Business-As-Usual (BAU) tasks.
• Technical Quality: Ensure the reliability, performanceand security of applications while driving innovation to meet evolving business needs.

About You

• 10+ years' experience in web and application development.
• 5+ years' experience leading and mentoring development teams.
• Strong experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including:
  • C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core
  • ASP.NET web applications
  • Windows Forms applications
  • RESTful APIs
• Solid SQL Server and database development experience.
• Strong understanding of application security principles, particularly within eCommerce environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft App Center.
• Experience with Next.js, Storyblok, and Vercel.
• Knowledge of legacy technologies including Visual Basic 6 or Microsoft Access.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and other business applications.
